The house is very clean and comfortable, and after all the expensive resorts, we wanted a place with a kitchen and away from people. In addition to having a house and pool all to ourselves, there is a barbecue and a very nice space to spend the day. My highlight was definitely watching the sunset from the balcony, and the host was very friendly and took care of every detail to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect, right in front of the sea and within walking distance of town. We would definitely stay here again.

We had access to the sea and took out kayaks to look at corals, had a lovely swim at the salt water Tobu, did a quick trip to the waterfalls and thoroughly enjoyed the greenery, farm animals and the peace and quiet. Kirsty and her lovely Dad were amazing hosts, they made sure we had all that we needed during our stay.

Elia was a fabulous warm caring tour guide with all the local knowledge who coordinated and drove us to experience the waterfall, hot pools and great snorkelling. Brilliant stay!

Amazing location with some great snorkelling over the road and 20mins walk to split rock which more fabulous snorkelling. Easy to get taxis into Savusavu which had everything we needed. Just go to the road and wait. Kitchen facilities and clothes washing machine all great. Lovely hot shower. Jan and Ian were so helpful and kind. Made the stay a real treat. Would definitely stay again if back in the area. Thank you.

We loved the unspoilt beauty of Siga Siga Sands. We felt like we were in our own little world with both jungle and sea to ourselves. We enjoyed staying away from the crowds that one finds at other resorts. Delicious food was easily provided with a phone call and getting to town was really easy with a phone call to Bablu- the most punctual and wonderful taxi driver. There is wonderful snorkelling and swimming right on your doorstep here too. If you look there is an amazing array of life in the shallows even when the tide goes out. Gene has definitely made this a paradise. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Located 6km out of Savusavu, along a very pretty seaside road, House of Bamboo was surrounded by beautiful tropical vegetation while still offering stunning views of the sea from its large deck. The house was very comfortable and extremely well equipped so that we had everything we needed for our 8 day stay. The beautiful pool area was a lovely bonus. There was great snorkelling right out in front and we enjoyed the use of the property's snorkelling gear, kayaks and paddleboards. Taxis to nearby Savusavu were cheap and readily available. We were met by our host at the airport and farewelled on departure, and our luggage was carried up and down the 100 steps for us! Meagan and staff could not have been kinder or more helpful - they were absolutely wonderful, and we were very appreciative of that. We all loved our stay at House of Bamboo and would definitely stay here again if we return to Savusavu, which we would also love to do!
