Ballyvaughan
Situated in Newtown, 5 minutes’ drive from Ballyvaughan and Galway Bay, The Waters Country House boasts over 40 acres of farmland at the foot of the Burren Hills. Ailwee Cave, also featuring an underground river and a waterfall, is only 3km from the property. This property is the most beautiful, majestic space with breathtaking architecture. It is nestled into a hill with views of The Burren and the sound of flowing water is around every corner. There are several inviting common areas complete with fireplaces and the feeling of contemplation and peace. We topped off our eve with a whiskey at the “help yourself” bar. The next morning we visited the Ailwee Caves (a must see) and the 16th century tower house called Newtown Castle which is part of Burren College of Art - there was true student talent. Both places are a short walk or drive from The Waters Country House. This is a one of a kind B & B NOT to be missed and Wolfgang and Maria are the most gracious proprietors!

The area was very quiet and peaceful. The cabin was beautiful with lovely little touches. The sauna and hot tub were great.
Lovely cottage with old-style fireplace. We arrived quite early, unexpectedly, and we were welcomed & accommodated. Lovely stay. Great host. Thanks Cathy!
The accommodation is beautifully decorated and filled with light. The view from the balcony is exceptional, a vast landscape with nothing obstructing the Doolin countryside. There is access to a sauna and hot tub with a booking.
Castaway Cabin is a cozy and charming place in the middle of nature. We have enjoyed every space in the house and surroundings. Gabriel has been very kind, he waited for us with the fireplace on and took care of every detail so that we were comfortable. If we have the opportunity, we will repeat the stay
The breakfast was healthy, with oats, joghurt, beeries, coffee or tea, water, milk, orangejuice, toast, scones, butter an marmelade. Everything we needed. Water, coffee, tea with Water heater in the room. Towels, soap and shampoo. All was fine. The house is a cosy place, restored with old wooden floor and beautifull doors, stairs and fireplaces. Ask Garry, were you can get lunch or dinner in Ennis. The Cliffs of moher are 30min away.
The cottage is fabulous. Very clean and cosy. Has pretty much everything in it to cook your breakfast, lunch & dinner if need be. Location is in a beautiful part of the countryside. 20 mins from Ennis.
The cabin was cozy and warm and we loved that there was no one around in the beautiful countryside
