As a solo female traveller, I felt completely safe at this property, surroundings and the town of Kalimpong too. The hosts have trained the staff to very high standards, meaning they are attentive, respectful as well as discreet. ‘What you see is what you get’ is how I would describe the rooms - just as in the pictures - neat, clean, well-appointed and spacious. Running hot and cold water in the taps was quite unexpected but welcome! There’s wifi good enough to do remote work, backup power to charge devices in case of power cuts and plenty of open space to spend your days. The food is par excellence and a lot of the ingredients are sourced from their farm. Just sitting on the veranda, you’ll see a variety of birdlife. The hosts complete the experience at this property, providing personal attention to each guest. They also employ local villagers, which I much appreciated. The accommodation is built in the traditional style, to high sustainability standards. All-in-all, I had a very upscale homestay / farmstay experience.
