We traveled with another couple whom had never been to Italy, and our stay made them fall more in love with the country, the landscape, and - most importantly- the people. This is in large part to how gracious and kind everyone was to us during our stay. As for the property, the photos don't even begin to do it justice. I also tried to take photos to capture how beautiful the grounds and location were, but it's all too beautiful to recreate with anything other than your own two eyes. If you find yourself at Poggio Angelarosa, do try to experience their dinner with music. We were treated to an unforgettable night of local, fresh food, and were serenaded by local musicians for a night that we will never forget. And the breakfast: amazing and fresh! We were all really sad we had to leave.

It's a little ways from downtown but it's actually a plus because the location is quieter during the day and very beautiful. Easy and short walk to the port to take the ferry. I recommend it! Lucia, our host, was amazing, she communicated all throughout and was very helpful and accommodating.
