We were hosted in a traditional house, a few steps from the river, which our host, always attentive to our needs, tried to make as comfortable as possible considering its nature. I highly recommend anyone looking for an alternative way to experience Japan to spend a few days here wandering araound the valley.

Quite isolated but lovely for relaxing retreat. Comfortable bed. Fantastic shower with a view. Fantastic deck overlooking the water and trees. Lovely to have our own space.

Great location - 10 minute drive to lots of restaurants, shops, grocery stores. The manager was very responsive and sweet to recommend restaurants for us to try during our stay. She even called them to make reservations for us! The property was very clean and better than the photos - very spacious bedroom (there was only 2 of us, so the other 2 bedrooms were locked) , double sink with large mirrors and great lighting. Laundry machine was easy to use. Bathroom had shampoo and soap - they provided a lot of thoughtful touches such as slippers/shower scrub/razor/ 5L beer!! Beds were comfy - we stayed for 2 nights and loved every minute. There is a tiny cafe outside but it they were unfortunately on vacation during our stay.
