This is just one train stop from Aso station, so provides easy access to Mt. Aso and the surrounding area. The kitchen is fully equipped (cutlery, pans, condiments, etc) and there is a small grocery store nearby to buy ingredients. Rooms are large, and there is a kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a japanese - style bathroom. The piano in the living room was a great and unexpected bonus. We were passing through and only stayed one night, but it would have been a great base to explore the Aso area and we would have loved to stay for longer.

The house had excellent facilities and is on a quiet location near the beach, cafes, train station and supermarket. It was great having the use of two bicycles also. Yumi is a great host.

IORi Yufuin ーVacation House With Private Hot Spring ligt in Yufu, op 44 km van Oita Bank Dome en 4 minuten lopen van Kinrinko Meer, en biedt uitzicht op de stad. Very big, clean, and warm. It located in a very good location, very close to lake Kinrin and the shopping area. Will stay here again when visit next time.

Bettei Gensen-Private Vacation Villa Bettei Gensen beschikt over uitzicht op de tuin, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin en een balkon, op 4 minuten lopen van Kinrinko Meer. Amazing location, so much room, the views were stunning, and the place was so clean. Truly a great experience. T Staying g in YUFUIN would not have been the same in a hotel. This made our trip extra special.

We drove by the cottage the first time and stopped about 100 meters ahead. Then we were approached by some local people, one of which was the owners mother. They were super friendly and she guided us to the correct location. There was a nice big spot to park our car directly in front of the cottage. We had diner at the table outside and enjoyed the night sky. From here you have great views of mount Aso and also the surrounding edges of the caldera. Great experience and one of our best rural stays in Japan. Thanks to the owner and his mother for their hospitality and kindness!

Denpaku The Beachfront MIJORA is gelegen in Amami, op 16 minuten lopen van Strand van Akakina en 8,1 km van Oshima Tsumugi Museum. The view of the ocean was truly spectacular, it felt almost like we were in the ocean, with just the sound of the waves.

Villa 石の蔵 Hotel bevindt zich in Saga en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi, gratis privéparkeren, en toegang tot een hot tub. De accommodatie heeft een bubbelbad. Arrived by car, so cannot say much about the location, but there is private, free parking and a grocery store is nearby. The check-in and check-out were very easy. The bungalow is amazing. Great furniture, very clean, and includes a full kitchen. Washing machine and dryer are also available. The toilet plays classical music. The bed was the most comfortable bed that we slept in while in Japan. A bit pricey, but absolutely amazing. Wish we had stayed longer.

森のフェアリー Cottage Morino Fairy All cotage with open-air bath with sea view or river view ligt op 19 km van Yakusugi Land en biedt een tuin. We loved our stay here. The host took her time to explain everything and answered a lot of my questions. Very nice and responsive. The trees on the back patio invite a lot of birds so I got to watch them every morning. We rented a car, the cottage was easy to find and access. It's very comfortable, the air temp in the room, the furniture, the hot tub on the patio, the kitchenette. Although we mostly ate the already prepared food from the grocery stores.
