Out stay at River cottage have been a pleasure. The room was really clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff and the owner of River cottage is very helpful, friendly and nice persons. We arrived a little bit earlier than time for check in and it was no problem. The dinner and breakfast was delicious! The owner did drive us to the buss for kindness the day we continued our journey and he always answered our questions and was helpful. If you looking for a stay that’s are comfortable, out of town, good food,quiet and like to have beautiful nature around you, we really recommend River cottage!

This was honestly one of the most welcoming and thoughtful places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, Sydney and his team looked after us so well. The chef asked what we fancied and was very accommodating. He cooked the most amazing curry, lunch and honey hoppers for breakfast (which we were introduced to and absolutely loved). They even gave us a packed lunch for our elephant boat safari, which they organised, along with a great driver. There were little extra touches that made such a different, like beers in the fridge when we arrived (and they went to get more when we ran out), a cooking class with a local family, a really interesting forest walk with an indigenous guide and when we asked if we could do some laundry they sorted it for us with no trouble at all. The cottage is in a beautiful, quiet spot with amazing Mountain View’s, a perfect place to switch off. Would highly recommend supporting this amazing project. Such a great experience 😊😊

You have a whole building all for yourself: spacious bathroom, a lot of storage room, terrace with a dining table, 2 hammocks, extra chairs to sit in the sun in the morning… the food (dinner and breakfast) we had was delicious and nutritious!! It feels like you get time to restore your body, which is nice when you are travelling fast. If you have time and want to relax a bit, I would recommend to stay at least 2 nights or more.
