We had the most amazing time at Leel’s Safari cottage! The room was perfect—super clean, beautifully designed, with air conditioning and a hot water. You can really tell how much effort they put into making everything just right. It felt so cozy and welcoming. The garden outside was lovely—well-kept, peaceful, and such a nice place to relax. And the food… wow! The meals cooked by Leel’s mom and his wife were the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Thank you both for making every meal so special! We also did the sunrise safari with Leel, and it was incredible🌅 He’s so professional and knows the park so good. He explained everything so calmly and made sure we didn’t miss anything. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thank you so much, Leel, for an unforgettable stay. Beautiful property, rooms are very clean and spacious with your own private balcony and big outdoor area and hammocks to use. The staff were incredible, very friendly and kind and amazing customer service. The food was amazing and the safaris they offered were very easy and enjoyable.

Very satisfaction about the safari. Jeep driver is very experience and very friendly. Swimming pool area is very relaxing. Love it. Room was very big and comfortable.

The Cottage is situated in a quite location but is still very close to the center. The shower was beautiful and also the garden area very nice. Food was great and also the host was very friendly and helpful with safari and daytrip bookings.

Amila was incredibly helpful with organising a safari and providing advice on sites to visit in Udawalawe. Furthermore, make sure you have breakfast and dinner here. Nadeeka made the best food we had in Sri Lanka and did not skimp out on the portions! The immediate area surrounding River Cottage is exceptional, we viewed a peaceful Buddhist temple, saw over 300 Indian Flying Foxes fleeing the nest at sunset and enjoyed a refreshing swim in Amila’s river.

He organized our safari. This place is terrific value for money. The room was basic but had everything we need and was clean.

The room is clean, the bed is soft and comfortable. had a great fun experience and will definitely be going back again soon to do a safari with them which we couldn't do.

I had a lovely stay at Green Paradise Cottage, the garden was so beautiful with interesting plants, and the family were really friendly. They gave me traditional Sri Lankan breakfast and also I asked for dinner in the evening which was so welcome having arrived at 7 and travelling by bus to get there. One of the family also ran safaris, so organised it through them really easily and I had an amazing time seeing a whole family of elephants by the lake-very lucky!

L'emplacement parfait à côté de plein de petits restos. Les propriétaires étaient adorables, l'hôtesse nous a servi un rice & curry délicieux et nous avons fait notre safari à udawalawe avec l'hôte qui était très sympathique et investi, le tout à un prix très correct. Allez y les yeux fermés!
