It was clean and clutter free when we arrived. The kitchen had good counter space and the basic dishes and cutlery. The bed was very comfortable and all the windows had shades so it was dark until the sun was well up. The bathroom is small but has shelves to hold toiletries. The view is beautiful!

The lodge is huge and totally private on top of a hill overlooking the valley and the waterfalls. The hosts Candy & Rawiri went out of their way to show us around the property, including a creek nearby where you can spot the glowworms at night. It’s a gravel road driving to property from Opononi but it’s well maintained and suitable for 2WD. Spend at least a couple of nights there, you won’t be disappointed!

The accommodation is so lovely and modern - has everything you could possibly need while you kick back. Kiri was such a thoughtful host, she truly made our stay so memorable.

Robyn thought of everything; fresh ground coffee, toiletries, plush towels (the claw foot tub and overhead shower were to die for). If you stay here, make sure you order the catered dinner. Robyn is a fabulous cook and we loved being served on the deck.
