We liked everything about this place. Paula has set it up with just about everything you could need. The refrigerator and pantry had plenty of goodies. The cottage has a washing machine and dishwasher. It was great watching all the activities on the dairy farm, and we really enjoyed the tour of the property that Steve gave us. It was so nice we wanted to cancel our stay in Auckland and stay here a few more days. Alas, the cottage was already booked.

We arrived quite late after an evening Hobbiton tour, but Fiona kindly waited for us and cheerfully showed us around. The apartment was absolutely amazing—beautifully decorated and well-equipped, offering all the comfort we needed after a long day. The next morning, we enjoyed our coffee while taking in the peaceful farmlands surrounding us. We only wish we had more time to stay longer.

The cottage has been lovingly renovated and decorated in a very unique style which makes it welcoming inside and out. Superb attention to detail. It was spotless, comfortable, and well appointed. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed and pillows, and cosy sitting area. Lovely colourful garden. Spectacular views. Quiet and restful. We appreciated the bread, eggs, jams and chocolate. If you can, stay more than one day!

Everything. Very nice, modern, well furnished and equiped apartment with nice kitchen and comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious, fresh home made bread, house eggs, home made jogurt was fabulous and fruits from the garden, milk and orange juice was on the fridge and home made cookies were absolutely delicious. I’m coffee lover so I appreciated nesspresso machine with milk steamer (fresh milk was available in the fridge ). I was also very nicely suprised with dyson hairdryer which you can’t see even in the most luxurious hotel. Moreover Kylie (host) was very nice, let our dauther to play in their garden, she let her feed her chickens and ship and let us to take some fruits from her garden. We stayed just for one night, but it was great stay and when we’ll come back to New Zealand we’ll definitely stay here again. Absolutely recommend Matamata country B&B 👍
