Originally, we came to this area for one night to relax from the hustle and bustle of Saigon, but we enjoyed it so much that we ended up staying for two nights. The place is truly magical, and you will hardly see any tourists here—only kind, smiling local people and plenty of fruit, especially coconuts. Thuan is a very friendly and caring person. He speaks perfect English, which really helped us to get at least a glimpse of the local culture and way of life, especially during a private trip on the Mekong River, which I highly recommend. The next day, we went on a bike ride and visited a local coconut processing workshop (nothing goes to waste here). One of the most unforgettable moments was when we visited local school children—it was an incredible experience that touched our hearts. Whenever we were hungry, his sister Thuy cooked us excellent Pho or fried spring rolls at her restaurant. We are glad we chose this place and we hope to return here in the future. You get to have a real local experience as not many tourists here The owner, Thai, was absolutely brilliant and helped make my stay extra special, as did his adorable children! I hired a moped which helped me explore that much further than the bikes but the bike rides were also good. I timed it perfectly for the flower markets. Stunning! All the locals were so friendly saying hello as I passed. Totally unexpected but I suppose a single red curly headed female stands out a little. From this experience I'd recommend a homestay.

The guesthouse also offers activities, including enjoyable boat trips. I spent two very relaxing nights there to recharge. A place I would highly recommend!
