Inside, the large bed was as plush and comfortable as any five-star hotel, complete with crisp linens and cozy throws. The kitchenette was well-equipped, allowing us to prepare meals with ease – though, truth be told, we spent most of our time cooking outside. The outdoor braai area was perfect.and the wood-fired hot tub was the cherry on top – perfect for unwinding under the stars with a glass of wine in hand. The best part? The wildlife. From the comfort of our deck, we watched ostriches strut by, zebras grazing in the distance, and waterbuck meandering through the bush. It was like having our own personal safari without ever leaving the tent. This is glamping at its finest – all the immersion of the wilderness with none of the roughing it. Highly recommend for anyone looking to reconnect with nature without sacrificing comfort.

I took my fiancé (then girlfriend) away for the weekend with the intention of proposing. I got in contact with the reserve and told them about my plans and requested them to assist with the set-up. They took us out on a private game drive whilst the staff was preparing a breakfast spot at the view point. Everyone assisted and overshot expectations. Apart from the lengths they went to to make the moment special, the whole weekend was amazing. The staff is exceptionally friendly and one feels at home. I would definitely recommend Summerplace for a weekend break away.

The river view was amazing 😍🤩🤩🤩🤩 with big hippos 🦛 🦛 walking around the river . The garden was Soo green with a fresh cool breeze and I loved every moment spent there. There is hot water 💦 in the rooms. The breakfast presentation and the taste was mouth watering, I wish I had stayed longer.

We liked how the chalet had everything needed for an excellent stay. The chalet was clean and had all necessary items in the kitchen. We also liked the toiletries provided. The property is situated a little less than an hour from Orpen Gate so it is a great place to stay if you plan to visit Kruger Park (and neighboring areas). Tegan was helpful in, giving us info about the area, checking us in and helping us get situated in the chalet. I wish we stayed longer to enjoy the place more!
