From arrival, staff were extremely attentive, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The facilities were exceptional especially the spa and pool. A great way to unwind and relax in luxury. Highly recommend!

Our favourite stay in Scotland! The rooms were not just beautifully appointed but also very thoughtfully. Service was attentive and warm but discreet. Great location to explore the area including a short drive to St. Andrews. From welcome drinks & treats in the stunning room with lovely views plus excellent lighting (a rarity in any hotel) to the extravagant breakfasts; a lot of effort had gone into making this an exceptional stay for their guests. The breakfasts were an absolute treat, all perfectly cooked by their Chef with 5 star service by amazing Alex. Both managers David & Dave were lovely; nothing was too much trouble - including bringing ice up 3 flights of stairs for our drinks. We enjoyed a lively & entertaining village jam session in the back bar on our first night; and it was still quiet in the bedroom during the session - great soundproofing! Top marks for The Shoregate. Highly recommend.

This was a fantastic stay and somewhere different and unique. The accommodation was spacious, warm, clean and cosy! The attention to detail didn’t go a miss; slippers, dressing gowns, breakfast, personal message board and daily restock of essentials such as tea, coffee and fresh towels.

The Family Suite stands out for its spaciousness and immaculate cleanliness, ensuring a comfortable stay for families or groups. The comfort is further enhanced by the beds, which feature sparkling clean sheets, promising a restful night’s sleep. The suite’s bathroom is notably luxurious, boasting double sinks and spaciousness that one might expect to find in high-end American homes, adding a touch of opulence to the experience. Dining at the hotel’s on-site restaurant is a culinary delight, with delicious dinner options that cater to a variety of tastes, ensuring a satisfying end to our day. The convenience of free, easy, and ample parking accommodates guests with any car size, removing any parking hassles from the equation and making the arrival and departure process as smooth as possible.

Fabulous room with some really lovely touches like having music on the radio as we entered the room. Also having the complimentary mini bar! Lovely shower and breakfast across the road. Would definitely book again when we're in Aberaeron.

Very upscale with a quaint feel. Breakfast was delicious and we both really enjoyed our dinner there also. Walking around the estate was both beautiful and peaceful watching the lambs run around. The rain boots were available for loan if the grounds are wet/ muddy.

A beautifully presented family-run B & B that gives you all the privacy you want or engagement with other travelers in the well-appointed common areas. Funnily enough, they get quite a few bookings and then cancellations from Australian travelers who mistakenly think they were booking for Torquay, Victoria, Australia rather than on the Devon Coast, UK. The family is delightful with dad being an excellent chef (breakfast eggs benedict was cooked perfectly), mum was so hospitable with great directions and suggestions with our walk to the harbor front and dinner, and the daughter who looked after us with checking in and at breakfast was just a breath of fresh air (good luck with your uni studies). I would definitely stay there again but this time for a few more days so we could take advantage of that inviting-looking swimming pool.
