Giocomo and Lorenzo are both incredibly warm, engaging, kind, and helpful. We appreciated their recommendations, and are so grateful to have stayed in their lovely hotel! The 18th century building is simply beautiful; the high ceilings, original tile floor, and frescoes in our room were truly splendid, and the beautiful grounds were perfect for sipping wine and having breakfast outside. The location is also terrific because it is just outside of the city, so completely tranquil, yet only a 10 to 15 minute walk into the city, which we even did twice in one day. We were delighted to be able to purchase olive oil harvested from Hotel Palazzo di Valli’s olives, and can’t wait to try it when we return home! Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer, and we hope to return. We highly recommend this amazing place!

Wonderful accommodation in a historic building in the centre of Siena. Everything perfect, food of the highest standard. Staff excellent and always helpful. The Starshotels hotel chain is absolutely amazing.

Il Chiostro del Carmine is a restored 14th-century monastery, with great views of the countryside. It is less than 10 minutes' walk from Piazza del Campo. Rooms at Il Chiostro are large and bright.

Lots of charm, peace and quiet in the heart of the city. The staff are very professional and efficient as well as super friendly and helpful, especially the young man at the reception. The breakfast is varied, plentiful and tasty, with a special mention for the Italian pastries.
