We had a wonderful stay at this charming guest house in Obertraun. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with so much attention to detail that made our stay special. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, offering great tips for exploring the area. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, and we woke up each morning to breathtaking views of the mountains. It was the perfect base for discovering Hallstatt and the beautiful surroundings. We truly didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

This hotel is in the center of St. Wolfgang although I did have to ask a few people where exactly it was. This hotel is right on Lake Wolfgang. Breakfast was very good with Frau Stephanie handling the food service duties. Frau Patricia was often at the front desk and she was invaluable at giving ideas about things to do in the village. She is a gal that tells it like it is. Whatever she says, that's it. There were a couple of other ladies taking turns at the front desk that were also quite nice and helpful. Overall, the staff were excellent. The room was nice and modern. It's the kind of place where those little toiletries are in the bathroom, in case you misplaced something. I would certainly stay there again should I find myself in St. Wolfgang. ALSO want to mention that there is a great souvenir shop directly across the way from the hotel's front door (Name is Geschenke, address Markt 75). Good place to buy and bring back a few trinkets for the folks back home. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and well recommended.

Pension Bergfried se nachází v Hallstattu, 150 metrů od břehu Hallstattského jezera. Nabízí prakticky zařízené pokoje, některé s balkonem. I like the peacefulness. The location is a bit far from Markt, but it is close to the bus stop. The view was super! We booked the smallest room, and we got the one with a balcony, which is helpful for us as we were traveling with a child. I totally recommend this place.

Family-run for 150 years and renovated in 2014, Seewirt Zauner is situated right on the historic market square in Hallstatt’s car-free centre and 150 metres from the waterfront at Lake Hallstatt. - Really good and rich breakfast at Heritage Restaurant next to the Hallstatt lake. - Big and with good design rooms. - Really friendly staff.

Overall, the hotel is excellent – it’s in a perfect location and has a very nice private beach (including SUP boards and rowboats available for guests). Breakfast was good and varied, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Parking is not always available on-site, but it’s not a big issue unless it’s raining heavily, as the hotel provides free parking just a two-minute walk away. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant once – the food was tasty but relatively expensive compared to other restaurants in the area.
