Located right on the shore on Lake Wolfgang, Hotel & Gasthof Fürberg is 3.5 km, approximately a 45-minutes walk, from the centre of St. Gilgen. It offers a private beach and a free bicycle and boat rental. I liked everything! The location is amazing, secluded and calm but also has everything you need like food at the restaurant or 5 minutes away by car at any supermarket. I would definitely come again. Friends' groups, however, shall watch out for the showering situation 😂 it is more like a romantic getaway 😉 but I still had lots of fun with my friend there. Ah the Seilbahn is 5 minutes away aaand Hallstaat is about an hour, although I don't recommend leaving the heaven of this place and going to the touristic horror of Hallstaat.

Hotel Garni Anzengruber is located near the centre of St. Wolfgang in the Salzkammergut, 100 metres from the famous Weißes Rössl and the beautiful pilgrimage church. The hotel is beautifully and centrally located with a view over Wolfgangsee. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The host is very welcoming and gave us great suggestions for activities. We really liked the atmosphere at the hotel too — it felt very homely and personal, unlike big chain hotels. We also really enjoyed the private lakeside garden, which was a perfect spot for sunbathing and taking a refreshing dip in the lake.

The location was perfectly close from bus station (rough 3 minutes by walk) Room and hotel was clean, Very friendly staff and excellent communication

A 5-minute walk from the centre of Sankt Wolfgang, Strandhotel Margaretha offers a private beach on the shore of Lake Wolfgang, a lakeside terrace, a bar, a sauna, and a relaxation room. Free WiFi is available. ⸻ We stayed for a week in August, a family of four with two children. Overall, the hotel is excellent – it’s in a perfect location and has a very nice private beach (including SUP boards and rowboats available for guests). Breakfast was good and varied, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Parking is not always available on-site, but it’s not a big issue unless it’s raining heavily, as the hotel provides free parking just a two-minute walk away. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant once – the food was tasty but relatively expensive compared to other restaurants in the area.

Haus Mayerhofer is situated in the centre of Sankt Gilgen, a 5-minute walk from Lake Wolfgang and the Zwölferhorn Cable Car. Free WiFi and free parking are available.

All rooms and apartments have cable TV and a bathroom with toiletries. Most have a balcony. Haus Mayerhofer is a lovely and cosy place! We spend Christmas there and had the best time! Beds are really comfortable! And it has a big living room and kitchen space. The apartment was perfectly heated for the snow! Although the bathroom is en suite with the one room, it wasn't a problem for us as 'n family. Breakfast is available on request. Everything is closed in St. Gilgen on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, but we made a delicious meal in our apartment. There is Spar supermarket close by to buy all you need. The people are very friendly and St. Gilgen is a beautiful town! It is close to the bus stop which connects you to anywhere!
