The Hotel la Boheme is located in the heart of Cáceres at the gates of the monumental Unesco Heritage city. Its location is perfect. The hosts are incredibly nice and made us feel at home. They work very hard balancing their small coffee shop in the hotel’s lobby, their boutique hotel (and raising their young family). Getting to know them was great. Their breakfast rooms are incredibly clean.

The hosts are just good human beings and are helpful in every way possible. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the main plaza from which you can access restaurants and walk to the castle and other points of historical interest. Our room was very clean and and comfortable, the kitchen included oil and vinegar and salt and pepper and a nice assortment of pots and pans of a size useful to the two of us. They have a nice garden and pool area available for guests. We also had a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and equipped with a table for 4. We liked to sit there in the afternoon. Oh! And READ the material IN ADVANCE that Herman has so helpfully prepared. It is clearly written, very useful and answered all my questions. Especially how to conveniently turn on the (shower) hot water just when you need it (saves energy<3).

The breakfast is excellent with plenty of local products and an exquisite service of the owner.

The place has all the amenities and we will definitely return here if traveling to Merida. Really close to a supermarket (Dia) and a children's park.
