Hôtel & Spa Le Bouclier D'or is located in the historic La Petite France district in a 16th Century building, a 5-minute walk from Strasbourg Cathedral. This perfect little haven in the Petite France area of Strasbourg was an ideal base to explore this beautiful historic city. This renovated old building has everything - character, history, vintage furniture and modern facilities. We visited Strasbourg during the Christmas Market and while it was only a few minutes walk to the major market squares and the local restaurants, the immediate vicinity was pretty quiet - almost no vehicle traffic and just a few pedestrians, who mostly seemed to be taking their kids to the school opposite. We only saw one staff member (I’m sure there must be others) but he was very welcoming and informative, giving us good tips on where to go. We loved our room, which was very nicely furnished, but also had plenty of power points, a device charger on the desk and the most fantastic shower.

Beautifully restored 17th century barn, filled with antiques & the owner’s art in a small tranquil village. Lovely room with really comfortable bed and bathroom with great shower, with the added bonus of a small balcony. Great place to re-charge after a day’s travelling or as a base to explore the area.

Just 5 km from Bâle, this 4-star hotel is situated 5.6 km from Basel-Mulhouse Airport. It offers airport shuttles, a wine and cocktail bar open 7 days a week and a spa centre. I've stayed in this hotel several times in the past. In my opinion, the best hotel in Siant Louis !
