Porthmadog
Rooms are located at either The Portmeirion Hotel or Castell Deudraeth, or in the village rooms and suites. The brightly decorated rooms each have a unique design. They feature a TV, a telephone, an en suite bathroom and a hairdryer. Porrmerrion is a unique location and experience that has been a part of our lives on family trips for over forty years so to have the opportunity to stay there in a gorgeous suite overlooking the village and the estuary was just magical.
Porthmadog
Situated within Snowdonia National Park, Aberdunant Hall is a 17th-century property set within 200-acres of woodland on an idyllic upmarket Holiday Home Park. With free onsite parking, it retains many original features, such as beamed ceilings, fireplaces and stained glass. Guests can relax in the garden or on the terrace. Everything was amazing, would stay here again.
Tal-y-llyn
With a magnificent location, surrounded by the stunning natural beauty and dramatic scenery of the Snowdonia National Park, the Tynycornel Hotel looks out over its own 222-acre fishing lake.
Sensitively refurbished, Tynycornel is a solid, traditional building, rich in original character and traditional charm. The en suite rooms have splendid lakeside or garden views and guests can also stay in the adjacent accommodation, converted from old farm buildings. All rooms have TVs, telephones and tea/coffee making facilities.
We go there every trip to Wales and love it. The view, the food, the room, location, ... we just love it.
Morfa Nefyn
Featuring a garden and views of river, Yr Hen Felin - The Old Mill B&B is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Morfa Nefyn, 37 km from Portmeirion. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. The accommodation offers luggage storage space and a housekeeping service for guests. Exceptionally friendly hosts, exceptionally comfortable rooms, this place is just incredible. Nothing could be improved and is up to the highest standards (and above).
Dolgellau
Many Regency-period features can be seen within the property, such as reeded doorcases, high ceilings and traditional furniture. A large reef aquarium is situated in the dining room and houses surgeon fish, yellow tangs, clownfish and many other species. My wife and I stayed at Borthwnog Hall as part of our drive from Bath, around Wales, and to Oxford. It can be thought of as an adjunct to a country home, located in a beautiful site overlooking an estuary. Our room boasted a balcony, and the view was great. Housekeeping was excellent, the staff was helpful, breakfast was fine and parking was free. This is not, it should be said, a place to stay if you want to be able to walk to bars, clubs and restaurants. It's a country venue, after all. But there's a good pub/restaurant visible and accessible by bridge a short drive away, and the nice beach town of Barmouth isn't far.
Barmouth
This coastal hotel offers free parking and a spectacular location in Barmouth. There is a bar, a garden, and striking views. Snowdon is less than an hour’s drive away through stunning National Parkland. Very welcoming and friendly staff, amazing location and great breakfast.
Porthmadog
Porthmadog High Street is 30 meters and both national and steam trains are within 600 meters of Tudor Lodge. The Tudor Lodge is a family run bed and breakfast. It offers en suite rooms, free parking and free WiFi. We found the place easily and even though near the road was quiet.
Talsarnau
Estuary Lodge Motel B&B is located in the quiet village of Talsarnau, in Snowdonia national park, within 5 miles of the coast. The property is conveniently located for guests visiting Mount Snowdon, Portmeirion, the Ffestiniog steam railway and Llechwedd slate caverns for world famous zip rides. Very comfortable and clean. Big room with fridge and microwave. Location great for going around snowdonia, Portmerion, Anglessy, Conwy... Staff very friendly and efficient. Excellent breakfast. Fantastic stay.
Aberdyfi
Seabreeze has an idyllic seafront location in the old fishing port of Aberdovey. It offers central, seafront bed-and-breakfast accommodation with views over the beautiful Dovey estuary.
Fresh, local produce is served on the seasonal Welsh menu in the restaurant.
Food and drinks were very delicious, great selection of wines
Aberdyfi
Situated in Snowdonia National Park, Penhelig Arms has a waterside location at the mouth of the Dyfi estuary. It offers fresh seafood and a range of other dishes, and has a real log fire in winter.
You can dine in Fisherman’s Bar, or the waterfront restaurant, which offers crab, bass and bream fresh from the quay. Welsh beef and lamb are both on the menu, and a full cooked breakfast is provided in the morning.
Dinner and the room with a sea view. And the staff’s really nice and welcoming.

Beautifully designed apartment on the ground floor. Exceptionally clean and beautifully presented. Gorgeous large bathroom on the ground floor with two huge bedrooms upstairs. The large bed was so comfy with lovely feather down pillows. The kitchen was lovely and we were able to cook a lovely meal. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you so much.
Very lovely design of the rooms and very friendly staff. Excellent location by the stunning lake and at the foot of Cadair Idris
Stunning location, the interior design of the common areas and the bunkroom is top notch, the staff is super friendly, there's a great vibe to the place.
It was very homely and had lovely interior design. It was close to the station only a 7 minute walk. Near lower Bangor so we could walk into town easily.
