On Great Victoria Street, beside the Grand Opera House, the luxury Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast offers boutique bedrooms with free Wi-Fi. There is a chic restaurant and modern cocktail bar. The receptionist was the most helpful person I have ever met on my numerous travels. I changed my booking arrangements 4 times in the first few hours of arriving at the hotel. She was super positive and helped perfectly. I can’t praise the service highly enough. Every other aspect of the hotel exceeded my expectations too. There is simply nowhere else to stay in Belfast.

The Grade B1-listed Bishop’s Gate Hotel is positioned within the historic city walls of Derry City’s Cathedral Quarter. Beautiful property in the heart of Derry. We stopped our car out front to unload our bags and walked into reception. It was so easy! The concierge took our keys and parked our car for us in a parking area where the car stayed for two days. It cost 16 Euros per day for the service - which we were very happy to pay. The hotel is gorgeous and so accessible to the many walks, parks, pubs, cafes, etc. The rooms are surprisingly quite modern and very nicely decorated - we were very happy to discover the property also had a lift. The staff were excellent, Donna at breakfast was a standout! On a drizzly day, the concierge loaned us a big umbrella, and we thoroughly enjoyed walking around the walls of the city. I highly recommend this property.
