Originally a wealthy sea captain’s mansion built in 1810, the Hotel Miranda is a fine example of characteristic local architecture. We accidentally booked from saturday to sunday, and arrived on friday. The staff were very kind and helped us get a room from friday on. We had a great weekend at Mirandas! Thank you:)

Ospitato in un palazzo tradizionale a soli 3 minuti di cammino dal porto di Idra, il Mistral Hotel vanta un personale cordiale e accogliente, e vi offre sistemazioni splendidamente arredate e... On arrival we were welcomed by Nicholas who was extremely friendly and helpful. A great start to our stay. We were on the first floor and the room was a good size, the bed comfy, good wardrobe space, good air con, nice to have windows to open and let the sun in (even through the massive heat wave). The bathroom itself was small but did the job for our 5 night stay. The shower was a bit of a let down - very tight squeeze to get in and shut the doors (and we are average build). If we moved without thinking about this small space, we accidentally nudged the tap off or to the hot or cold side. Had to be super careful in that respect. The free breakfast was out of this world amazing, tasty, different every day, home cooked/made, abundant (got us through to the afternoon!). We looked forward to it every morning and ate 90 to 100% of it. Jenni was an amazing hostess who presented us with this breakfast daily and she tolerated my “5 to 6 cup coffee” husband with delightful dry humour! She always had a funny comment to make. Loved her! One of the house maids was super friendly and greeted us every time we saw her - sorry I didn’t get her name! Unlucky for us it was a heat wave the whole 5 days there so going back and forth from the city centre was quite the trek for this unfit oldish woman, but I achieved it 4 or 5 times a day, albeit puffed on arrival. On a cooler day it would be very pleasant. A thousand thank you’s Jenni, Nicholas and friendly housemaid - you made our stay in Hydra magical. We highly recommend your place and wish you many years of success in your chosen business. You are a credit to the island! Liz and Mark from New Zealand.

Featuring free WiFi and a sun terrace, Mastoris Mansion offers accommodation in Hydra. Every air-conditioned room overlooks the alley and is equipped with a flat-screen TV. Fantastic place! Brilliant location, fun decor. Wonderful roof top terrace for the guests to use. Christos is the nicest, most helpful host ever. If ever we're lucky enough to return to Hydra we will absolutely stay here again.
