Set inside the Matera Sassi UNESCO site, Corte San Pietro is housed in a renovated historical building carved out of stone. It offers rooms with a private entrance and free Wi-Fi throughout. Five stars service. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is individually served with live music. They even have an underground cistern which is very interesting.

The hotel is actually a very nice authentic villa, on good location, cca 10min walk from the Sassi di Matera. It has a guarded private parking (important for Matera). The pool area is very nice for relaxing. The room was nice, well equipped and clean, with good WiFi connection. The breakfast was amazing! And the staff is extremely kind and helpful, as locals they will provide you with all the tips you need. Really a recommendation, especially if traveling by car.

Anyone must stay at least for a night in a cave room and that room is probably one of the best. The room was clean, with an amazing bed, great atmosphere and hot tub and sauna were adding a lot to the whole experience. The staff was also very helpful! Reason to visit Matera again in the future.

We fell in love with this Sassi! We booked a normal room, nevertheless the staff offered us the suit for no difference in the price. It was the best stay we ever had - so authentic to the city and in the same time comfy! After a long day of experiencing Matera (lots of walking and climbing) we were able to enjoy the bathtub and had a great rest! The breakfast was also very delicious. We recommend this property with both hands! ❤️
