Is was the perfect place to stay in Matera. The view outside the room was fantastic with a balcony that you can see all the Matera old city just across the Basilica . Best place for photos. The room we lived in was an old bakery inside a cave so you felt like living in old Matera ages.

Located just a few steps from the Sassi di Matera UNESCO site, Il Belvedere boasts a furnished terrace with panoramic views of Matera. WiFi is free throughout the property. The view was phenomenal from the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. I arrived early and they offered breakfast which was very nice of them to do so. Overall, my experience at this hotel was superb! I would stay here again.

The room was very large, beautifully decorated. The view to Sassi was so nice. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. And the aperitivos we had were soooo nice, accompanied by huge amount of various snacks. This place made our stay at Matera magical!
