Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. The location is best in town to hit all public bath houses. The traditional old inn is kept immaculately with tasteful details. The in-house hot springs, the tea ceremony, the good dining room, the kimono fitting and helpful staff contribute to a wonderful stay.

Founded in the 12th century and beloved by Junichiro Tanizaki and other Japanese novelists, Tosen Goshobo is the oldest of the hot-spring inns at Arima. Absolutely everything was fantastic from start the finish. The staff worked hard to provide us with a wonderful stay. The rooms are beautiful and extremely comfortable, of particular note the massage chair was fantastic. The Onsen itself was warm and comforting, and having a Sauna in addition to it was a nice touch. Both meals we had, Breakfast and Dinner were absolutely delicious. Additionally, it's quite an easy walk from the train station compared to other Onsens in the area, so if travelling with a lot of luggage it could be a good option.

Overlooking the beautiful Kobe Harbour, Oriental Hotel offers luxurious accommodation in the heart of the historic Kyu-Kyoryuchi area. Everything was absolutely excellent. The staff were very helpful. The bed is excellent. Location is excellence. It feels like a first class Hotel. The shower was absolutely fantastic and could be enjoyably used by more than one person at a time

Shuttles to and from the baths until 10 pm. Private Onsen bath is also quite comfy Excellent service. A little remark: i'm surprised about how good the coffee is from an automatic coffee machine.

Situated just a 3-minute walk from JR Motomachi Staion, Kobe Motomachi Tokyu REI Hotel provides simple rooms with natural colours. This ideally located hotel had, like most Japanese hotels, many free extras. A library of LP's as well as a turntable to play music in the lobby, a drink machine with beer, and a small restaurant for breakfast. Within walking distance of the train station, around the corner from Chinatown and 15 min walk from the waterfront. The staff was so helpful, suggesting places to see and how to get there.

Only a 3-minute walk from JR Himeji Station, Dormy Inn Himeji Natural Hot Spring offers modern rooms with free WiFi is provided throughout the property. Onsen and treats. The hotel is genuinely old and rooms are not the freshest but there is ice cream, ramen and drinks as part of the package and their onsen is a bliss! We loved it.

Hotel Okura Kobe is located on the waterfront, 500 metres from the Motomachi shopping area. Featuring Western-style rooms with free WiFi access, the hotel offers 6 dining options. hotel stuff is very politely and helpful. Room is clean.

A 10-minute walk from JR Sannomiya Train Station, Kobe Sannomiya Union Hotel features a Japanese restaurant and a massage service. Rooms feature free Wifi and a flat-screen satellite TV. I couldn't complain. Everything was nice.
