Extraordinary architecture and design in rooms, common areas, landscaping. Walking the entire hotel was an experience in itself. Gorgeous views from every angle. The buffet looked amazing. The infinity pool was excellent, great temperature, great views from it. Unique experience upon arrival receiving lotus flowers and being seated at a casual table with great views.

Hotel Sigiriya ligt in de Culturele Driehoek van Sri Lanka, die op de werelderfgoedlijst van de UNESCO staat. Hotel Sigiriya is great choice for a stay in Sigiriya. The view of Lion Rock is amazing. Great very clean pool. Attentive friendly staff. The hotel restaurant serves delicious food with a variety of choices catering to all tastes. Which is important as there are limited opportunities to dine away from the hotel.

De historische bed & breakfast Dambulla Rock Arch ligt op Sri Lanka, op 3,1 km van de Gouden tempel van Dambulla. Het beschikt over een zithoek onder de luifel in de tropische tuin. What a marvelous find! Utterly charming accommodation just off the main road, but open to farmland at the back and surrounded by a lovely garden. You would never guess you are in the centre of a busy town. The rooms are probably the best we stayed in during our trip (including much more expensive hotels). Lovely comfortable bed with mosquito net tent. There is a separate kitchen area with a small fridge, kettle and tea/coffee supplies and plates and cutlery. There is also a space with a luggage rack and place to hang clothes. The bathroom is large with premium fittings and hot water. There is a nice terrace with chairs out front and even a little yard at the back with a washing line. The breakfast area is so lovely, partially open with a fish pond. And the breakfast was superb. Beautifully home cooked Sri Lankan food, with European options too. The family are very sweet and helpful and arranged a tour to Sigiriya, followed by an elephant safari at Minneriya. Absolutely wonderful. No hesitation in recommending this lovely place.

De Arika Villa - Special Deals on F&B and Spa Treatments biedt een buitenzwembad, een sauna en uitzicht op de rustige, groene natuur. Zeer betrokken personeel die tot het uiterste gaan voor de klant. Ze gaven aan dat ze geen alcohol meer in huis hadden, waarop wij aangaven daar wel behoefte aan te hebben. Er werd wijn en bier voor ons gehaald. We wilden nog wat doen om de dag op te vullen, waarop het personeel een village tour voorstelde. We hebben een rondje door het buurtschap gelopen wat leuk was om te zien hoe de locals wonen. De curries waren heerlijk en het hotel ligt lekker in het groen!

Words don’t describe how special this place is. From the journey up into the mountains, meeting Vish, the atmosphere, the rooms, the service, the food… it is truly special and worth every penny!
