The room was decorated to perfection with lots of charm and character, and plenty of space to spread out. My son loved swinging on the hammock in the middle of the room. The pool was just a few steps from our room and a beautiful little oasis surrounded by flowering trees. Breakfast was delicious and included local honey.

Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay at Suenos perfect.

Located on the coast of Xcalacoco Beach 10 minutes outside of Playa del Carmen, this luxury resort and spa situated in the tropical rainforest features a restaurant. While planning a winter escape, I focused more on the type of resort rather than location or beach. I wanted to feel pampered, zen and with nature. I had stayed at Viceroy hotels in the US before and always had a good experience, so I was happy to find this one with only 40 or so rooms and the type of setting I was seeking. The care the staff took was unparalleled to any other experience we’ve had. They looked after us, brought us treats, knew our preferences and were always so accommodating. The massage was the best we ever experienced. The vibe of the common areas is low key; no loud music or obnoxious behavior, the food was excellent. The suites are so different from your average resort, the bed was huge and comfortable, each room has an outdoor shower and plunge pool. The rain head showers were a delight with excellent pressure. I can’t say enough about this wonderful place (obviously). If you’re seeking an out-of-the-ordinary adult experience to relax and be pampered, this is the place.

Nestled in a tropical setting, just steps from the beach, this hotel in Tulum is surrounded by a variety of activities and offers amenities such as free wireless internet access. The hotel only opened half a year ago so everything is brand new and super modern. The rooftop pool has a spectacular view and even toilets up there. The beachfront pool is stunning and the restaurant is incredible to eat breakfast there. The staff is the nicest I have met on my trip and they go above and beyond to fulfill your wishes. It's a very safe accomodation. The food you can buy ther is so delicious and the private beach area is an absolute dream. This is probably the most beautiful hotel I've stayed at in Mexico. It will 100% be worth the visit.

Located on Playa del Carmen's vibrant 5th Avenue, Unic Design Hotel is an elegant property offering accommodations just 5 minutes' walk from Mamitas Beach Club. Staff were absolutely lovely! They let me extend my stay. Room had a fridge and there was a water dispenser not far from the room so you could fill up your bottles. The location is right on fifth Avenue so I felt extremely safe as a solo traveller.

Attractively situated in the centre of Tulum, XscapeTulum features air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a garden. This 4-star hotel offers a shared lounge and room service. I had a fantastic stay at the hotel. Great value for the price! Lovely swimming pool and very well taken care of garden. I want to point my wonderful experience with the team that works there, especially Luis and Flor that works at the restaurant in the morning. Very friendly and professional staff!
