The staff are execellent. very good breakfast. facilities are excellent for relax. i should be back in the summer also. the location is quite and good.

Ubicato a Mértola vicino al fiume Guadiana, l'incantevole Quinta do Vau offre viste panoramiche sulla pittoresca città e sul corso d'acqua, accesso a una piscina all'aperto e connessione WiFi... We had a beautiful view of the river, the old Town and Castle from our room. The room was perfect for our stay. We had a very clean and nice room with privat bathroom with huge shower and shower gel/shampoo and hairdryer. A little fridge, kettle, coffee, tea were available in the room. There were an outside pool. I highly reccomend it. 🙂

Lovely and helpful staff, modern and tidy rooms with a great swimming pool. The bar and snack bar was a welcome spot to eat and drink. Very convenient on site parking. Easy to get to.

Hotel de Moura is set in a listed 17th-century historic building decorated with typical tile-work. It features an interior patio, a noble staircase (there's no lift) and a garden with a small pool. Very large room was a pleasant surprise. Ample on-site uncovered parking out back was very welcome. We loved this hotel.

Hospedaria Dona Maria is situated in the historic center of Beja and offers a restaurant with typical regional food. All the rooms and suites feature a private bathroom. Super friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was typical continental breakfast with cereal, yogurt, breads, cheese, and meats; very good. Hotel restaurant was excellent with wonderful pasta and hand made pizza.

This former farmer house was refurbished respecting Alentejo’s traditional architecture. Herdade do Vau is the kind of peaceful romantic picturesque getaway where you arrive for relaxation and quietly wonder if you will ever be emotionally strong enough to leave. Founded on Alentejo soil older than most small European governments, this estate sits near the Guadiana River which has been minding its own business for thousands of years while humans come here to drink Riso and make questionable decisions. We came during the off season which meant two things. One. It was a bit colder. Two. We basically had the entire estate to ourselves like some mildly delusional aristocrats who inherited land by accident. Highly recommended if you enjoy silence, privacy, and pretending you own several vineyards you absolutely do not. We met Miguel the owner, who radiates the calm confidence of a man who negotiates directly with the earth. Then there is Ines.. pleasant, welcoming, kind, and somehow running the whole place while looking like she has never experienced stress or even a slightly raised pulse. Teresa the friendly superb cook launched a full scale culinary attack which included cheese platter, duck rice, to pair with two bottles of Riso.. enough food to make our stomachs consider filing official complaints. NOTE : The nearest town with restaurants is about a twenty minute drive away. So do yourself a favor and choose the in house dinner for thirty five euro, which I highly recommend unless you enjoy night driving through rural silence where even the stars mind their own business. Lucky and Shot, the property’s two hunting dogs who patrol the grounds with the enthusiasm of security guards who were paid in sausages. They stared at us like they knew our secrets and accepted them anyway. Daytime was for sitting by the pool sipping beer with panoramic views dramatic enough to trigger spontaneous philosophical thoughts. Nighttime was for the fireplace, wine, Christmas music, and a level of comfort so deep it felt illegal in several countries.

Situato a Minas do Lousal e circondato dalla campagna dell'Alentejo, l'HOTEL LOUSAL Grandola offre una piscina all'aperto. This hotel is wonderful, so friendly and helpful staff, everything is clean and there was a cosy fireplace downstairs and the staff made a vegetarian meal for me even though is was only meat on the meny.
