Located in the historic city of Ayutthaya, Baan Thai is just 100 metres from the famous floating market. Suvarnabhumi Airport is an hour’s drive away. Thai hospitality at it's best! Welcoming, friendly staff with a special mention to Aoi, who made sure everything was taken care of. She arranged tuktuks for us, laundry to be done, recommended places to see, and restaurant recommendations. The on-site massages (for an extra charge of THB400/hour) were authentic Thai and very relaxing in an air-conditioned room overlooking the pool. The free breakfast included cooked eggs and fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, toast, cakes and pastries, and a different Thai delicacy each day + espresso coffee (or tea), orange juice, water. There was also a lunch and dinner menu so we didn't have to venture out for other meals if we didn't want to. We had a garden view villa, which had a comfortable bed, good pressure shower  instant electric heated, and air conditioning and 2 bottles of complimentary water each day. The grounds are well manicured and such a pretty setting with a pond in the middle. The pool had plenty of loungers around to relax on and was a warm temperature and deep at one end. A perfect place to relax after visiting the Ayutthaya Historical Park.

The property was neat and orderly. Although we arrived a bit early for check-in, the room was prepared. The owner was very kind; she set up a boat ride for us and provided us a map and brief overview of Ayutthaya city. It was a pleasant ride and an enjoyable experience.

We had stayed in the hotel pre- 2020 and were not disappointed on our return. It remains well maintained and popular, especially with overseas visitors. Lovely breakfast; lovely garden overlooking the river with Wat Phuttaisawan lit up at night on the opposite bank. Good restaurants within walking distance - turn right or left at the entrance. There is a small car park. Slept really well.

Plus the weather today is not hot, we can enjoy riverside without sweating.

The hotel is a 5-minute drive to Chao Sam Phraya National Museum, Ayutthaya Railway Station and the bus terminal. Very good value for money. The room was very clean and the staff very accommodating, they offered us towels to shower after our check out time. Breakfast was good and location too, just 10 min walking from some of the main temples.
