Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. This is a piece of paradise. The chalet is very comfortable and well equipped and maintained. The restaurant offers excellent food options. The breakfast is amazing. I recommend staying here at least for three nights.

Located in Keurboomstrand, Singing Kettle Beach Lodge features panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and has an à la carte restaurant, terrace and free WiFi. Location, location, what a spot! If you are looking to be away from the city, on the water and having access to a restaurant on site, this is the place to go. There are several other restaurants near by but will need to drive. Service is top notch, they have though of every details.

Offering views of the Keurboom Lagoon and the ocean, La Vista Lodge is a 3-minute drive from the centre of Plettenberg Bay. It features an outdoor pool with sun loungers. Warm and welcoming hospitality from the staff. The cliff top location with panormaic views of the bay and the city from the terrace. Cozy swimming pool. Very well decorated and equipped rooms. Super comfortable beds.

Overlooking the Indian ocean, Dune Beach House is set on the beachfront in Wilderness. It features an outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi access is available throughout. Our stay at Dune Beach House was amazing! The location is stunning, right on the beach with breathtaking ocean views. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. A special thank you to Bernie, who made our experience unforgettable with his warm hospitality and helpful recommendations. He truly went above and beyond. We can’t wait to come back—highly recommended!

This is a very special place on the planet. The views are simply stunning, only rivaled by the warm hospitality, impeccable linens and mouth-watering breakfasts.

Secure and very comfortable. The views were extremely nice and so was the sitout. The beach is absolutely a couple of minutes away. Literally a private beach. Very nice breakfast. The staff is phenomenal. Will stay here again.

This former power station is located in Knysna and offers sunny suites with an iPod docking station and views of the Knysna Lagoon. The spacious sun deck comes with an outdoor pool. Clean, amazingly helpful and friendly staff, great location and fabulous breakfast.

Falcons View Manor is situated on a hill overlooking Knysna Lagoon, 700 metres from the town centre. It features an outdoor pool, a library and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The Manor House is stunning and a lovely place to stay. Sue and Danelle were very warm and welcoming, the rooms are very spacious and classy and the view over Knysna is wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and the dinner was exceptional. A we'll managed venue and although it was very brief, we were always made to feel very welcome and we really enjoyed our short stay.

My wife and I stayed at the Waterfront Lodge as part of our Garden Route tour and it was amazing. The Lodge is super well located, easy to access, and within a short driving distance from most tourist sites. As we were there celebrating our honeymoon, Marion gave us a complimentary room upgrade, which made our stay even more special. During our time at the Lodge, we got to visit Knysna and nearby locations while Marion took care of our laundry. They offer laundry services that came in very handy for us. There's also a mini-fridge with beverages available. The bathroom was huge. Double sink, bathtub, and shower. The bed was very comfortable, and we even had a balcony with a view. Breakfast was included, and Marion's husband cooked us gorgeous food daily. They make a great team hosting, and we are very thankful for their hospitality during our stay. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Knysna, this is our recommendation.
