The staffs are very nice and are very willing to answer questions regarding travelling in Salzburg. We were travelling in a group of 4, and booked two rooms. We were arranged one duplex room and one penhouse-like appartment which is super spacious. The hotel is located in an area with high accessibility, and is exceptional convenient for travellers like me who would have to take Flixbus to other cities, because the Flixbus station is just a 5-mins walk from the hotel.

We loved everything about Gasthof Maria Plain! We had no idea where it was located in relationship to Salzburg, but we had admired the church from the road as we came in. Imagine our surprise when we saw we were going up that hill towards the church. Parking was easy & convenient. The second surprise is that the hotel had its own charming Christmas market. The rooms were clean & comfortable, & every room had a breathtaking view. The fact that we arrived after a big snow storm just added to the beauty. It was a short & inexpensive cab ride to central Salzburg. The restaurant had a good menu, great food & reasonable prices. Breakfast was very nice. The staff were very friendly & helpful. We will be back next spring!

Beautiful interiors, spacious room, decorated in old style, large bed with canopy and clean linen. Very good breakfast, lots of choice, also gluten free. Coffee from the coffee machine also with soya milk. It was nice to stay in a stylish interior. Excellent location for an overnight stay going to Italy for skiing and returning.
