Nice apartment in a nice part of the city. Close to metro station (approx. 10 min. - Merode). Everything was clean, space was big enough, with sufficient equipment.

The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need and it is well connected. Tram 10 brings you to the Gare du Nord, the city centre and Brussels Midi in 10 to 20 minutes (in that order, from the apartment), but I usually walked (roughly 20 minutes to the Gare du Nord and 40 minutes to the city centre, with plenty of shopping and excellent falafel - kebab - 🍟- opportunities on the way). Less than a 10 minutes' walk from the apartment are good size supermarkets with fair prices, including Aldi and InterMarche on rue Jerusalem, and on the same street there is Istanbul, an excellent fair priced falafel - kebab grill (fresh falafel pita and drink for less than 10 euros - I recommend to add Andalusian sauce and share some of the best fries in town!).

Although the location is a bit iffy, the place is very comfortable with friendly staff. The manager (cannot remember his name!) was amazing, he actually waited for us to give us the keys! I have no idea why there are bad write ups about this place, we stayed for one night and everything was just fine!
