Hotel Kernen could do a master class in how to provide the perfect breakfast buffet - it was beyond fabulous. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The location was outside the centre of Gstaad which was a plus as it was peaceful but guests got a free pass on the train into Gstaad from Schönried station just behind the hotel.

We enjoyed having an excellent breakfast in the sunshine on the terrace. The location of the hotel is superbe high above the valley with a free view of the surrounding mountains.

It's an easy 10m walk to the train station and other amenities. The apartment was cozy and roomy for 5 of us. Extra parking was a short walk and easy to get to for our second vehicle. Communication with the owners was easy and we always got a quick response to questions.

A stunning hotel with spotless rooms and crisp, fresh sheets. The staff is incredibly polite and welcoming. The on-site restaurant serves an absolutely delicious dinner, and the breakfasts are excellent. The view from the room is worth a million dollars — you could just sit on the balcony for hours and never want to leave

From the minute we stepped off the bus from Gstaad (which stops at the front door of Panorama B&B) it was obvious this place is special. Lauenen itself is a picture perfect alpine village where you feel as though you've stepped into a Christmas card. The B&B Panorama has the most spectacular views imaginable - snow capped mountains flanked by pines dripping with snow, with beautiful ancient wooden chalets and twinkling lights in the foreground. Karen the host was incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. Great, filling, locally-sourced breakfast. Beautiful, warm, well-appointed room with a balcony overlooking alpine splendour. We visited for winter hiking and the trails around Lauenen must be some of the best in Switzerland. We were truly blown away by our short stay - just wish we were still there!
