Excellent hostel - we had a private room for 4 nights with shower, very clean and comfy. The hostel is located a few minutes walk from North train station and about 15 mins by taxi from the city centre and tourist attractions for about 20 RMB on Didi. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. There is a washing machine on-site with space to dry for only 5 yuan. The hostel is run by Fiona who is a wee legend - very helpful for everything including booking excursions and providing an excellent breakfast. Highly recommended for a stay in Guilin.

Nice Location, lovely rooms, everything was clean. The most outstanding was the Hotel staff: friendliest and loveliest people you can imagine.

I can't imagine why Booking.com gave this such a low rating, considering the reviews are nearly all good. And for me it was EXCELLENT 10 out of 10. Very comfortable, soft bed, clean, good price, pleasant staff and great location close to the train station.

Right opposite Two Rivers and Four Lakes, Guilin Rong Lake Aroma Tea House, formerly Jing Guan Ming Lou Museum Hotel, is located in the city centre.

Amazing hotel, just around the corner of the major parks, river, walking street. Great staff, great restaurant and even the coffee at the breakfast is good! Sunrise / Sunset from the rooftop is another awesome feature.

We liked just absolutely everything. Super helpful and friendly owner David, he helped and organised for us all the activities and attractions in the area. The hotel is sparkly clean, super comfortable and quiet big room with big bed and beautifully view on the river. We suggest to reserve a delicious breakfast as well. Highly recommended!

Great place. Staff were phenomenal. Great inside decor too. A little out of town so will need a taxi back and forth but it was okay. The surroundings are beautiful.

Our stay at Lakeside Inn was really wonderful. It all started with the host, David, who is very hospitable and helpful. He helped us to book a river cruise, and gave so many good recommendations on what to do in Guilin. The room was comfortable enough at a good price and with a fantastic view of the river! We also had lunch at the garden restaurant downstairs. We requested vegan food and they made it so delicious. Thank you, David, we enjoyed our stay!

The service at this hotel was truly heartwarming. From check-in to check-out, every staff member had a smile on their face and was ready to answer any questions. When I needed an extra towel for the room, I called and they brought it right away. This feeling of being valued and cared for made my trip so much warmer.
