I absolutely liked this place. First of all; it was easy to get there, like 10 mins from the main station, on foot. It is not the centre, but not far away. There are a couple a places nearby where you can eat, however better places are a bit farther. Second, I would like to highlight the hosts, they were very fast responding to messages, especially when I had difficulties getting in the first time. The front door has to be pulled, not pushed, by the way, when you are opening it. The apartment is spacious, clean, and comfortable. There bed as well. Kitchen equipped as a described. Most importantly, the hosts exceeded expectations when they provided a few things which were missing, like some coffee, sugar etc. And then they delivered new pillows and some led candles to make the nights even more pleasant - the rooftop terrace is a highlight. I do recommend this place and the hosts!

Breakfast was excellent, with high quality foods and lots of different items to choose from. The family room we were given was spacious and offered a small divider to separate our space from that of our children. The location of the hotel is excellent; it's very near the Essen Central Railway station (walking distance), very near a Metro Station and it's walking distance from the Messe Essen (1,6km). Also, within very easy walking distance, there is a street parallel to the one the hotel is situated on, which offers a wide range of restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly, spoke fluent English and everything was very easy for us.
