This place is new and managed by a family. The rooms are very pretty and clean, everything is nice and creative, the location is very good. The lady there is extremely kind and asks if you need anything. I went there to check how the place was, initially, then, after seeing how nice it is, I extended my stay and I went back there also after a trip tp Las Galeras.
You feel safe and protected, there. Great internet too

I liked a lot this guesthouse run by a family. Location is perfect for exploring the old town by foot. They arranged a taxi for me from the airport upon arrival at a good price. Room was basic but nice too. I found it quite peaceful which was needed.

Hotel Villa Colonial is in a great location in Zona Colonial. It's in a safe area. The facilities are so beautiful, comfortable and retain a homey atmosphere. The Teams were all so welcoming and helpful. They speak different languages. Their strength is their desire to ensure you can enjoy your time while there. They have great attention to detail. Best hostel in town. The hosts David and Elemis was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and fresh still water is provided. What’s more, they have an excellent terrace that you can enjoy jacuzzi there. Highly recommended!

It was the best accommodation experience in the Dominican Republic, even compared to much more expensive hotels/resorts. Omar, Kamal and the staff always check in for your needs (even accommodating our food restrictions and providing vegetarian and vegan options), give cultural tips and keep the rooms and hotel super clean. I would definitely come back and recommend it! The location is good and close to Santo Domingo's main highlights, which is quite useful. Rooms are brand new and well taken care of! Good vegetarian restaurant nearby (Time).
