Very good location. Close to all central attractions. Excellent staff. We were upgraded from a suite to a skyline room. Great room at the top of the hotel with a large garden and views of the rooftops of Madrid in the city center.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for our anniversary and without a doubt, it made our trip. The hostel is modern, funky and has all the necessities you need and more, such as a fabulous rooftop bar, walking tours, day trip buses and more. Furthermore, I had never stayed in a hostel before so did not know what to expect but the rooms very comfortable and clean and we had lovely roommates who we shared our room with.
I have to say the best thing about this property is the location ! I couldn’t believe how central it was, you step outside and are right next to plaza mayor. This was a huge advantage for us because we did slot of sightseeing and walking and it meant getting home from anywhere only took a few minutes. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and answered any questions we had.
We booked breakfast every morning we stayed for comfort and less stress and it was perfect. the basics you need like toast, cereal, tea and coffee which we felt was great value for money because you could stock up before heading out for the day.
I 100% would recommend this place to anyone. If you are hoping to travel to Madrid and want somewhere central but also still clean, safe and comfortable, the Hat is the spot!

For sure one of my favorite hostels. It combined the luxury of living in a hotel (although you were on a room with other people) and the family vibe of a hostel. It was so clean! And the staff was really nice. And they have a great coffee machine with free coffee. Three course dinner for a cheap price.
