We stayed here for 4 nights. Left a message when booking that we wanted a quiet room and they accommodated the need very well. Even though the hotel is located right next to the train station, the room's window faced the courtyard so it was very quiet. The location is also great with almost all attractions within walking distance. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent and the staff in particular were very friendly and welcoming and the barista did an excellent job. We stayed in the winter so the value for money was very good and the room was large, so I can imagine it would be more popular in summer when travelling.

This new hotel is fabulous. Right in the heart of Florence's shopping district and surrounded by history and art. We loved it, it was so elegant, nice to find a touch of glamour as so many modern hotels are rather dull. La Gemma delivers 5* quality from dawn to dusk. Nothing is too much trouble the staff are amazing, especially Gian Luca the hospitality manager, and Boldo the mixologist, made incredible cocktails for us. The food was out of this world, truly worthy of a Michelin* in my opinion. Beautifully presented plates and sleek service in the beautifully designed restaurant LUCA's. Even breakfast was a gourmet affair, with everything cooked fresh to order from an impressive menu, they catered for my gluten-free diet brilliantly. I had the best Eggs Benedict on the planet. All in all, La Gemma personifies Florence...glamorous, and beautiful, where one visit is never enough. We will be back.
