This was my favorite hotel. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I was sick from food poisoning and could not enjoy it to the max, but the staff was extremely good to me. I cannot thank them enough. The futon beds were extremely comfortable, all the structure really took me back to almost 200 years ago. I really wanted to get the traditional breakfast, but I was too sick so I got the western one that was delicious. Cant wait to be back.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Gion (a 15 to 20min walk to the centre of Kyoto).
Stunning onsen which you have access to from 3pm to 10am
The staff couldn’t have done more for us and our baby, providing a crib and nappy bin.
The onsite restaurant is delicious but a little expensive.
The beds were so comfortable and I slept really well.

First of all the personel all were great and so kind! They make you feel like they host you at their home. The location is great! A few minutes to station, to restaurants, Gion area. Wonderful hotel with such a big size of room, almost double size of what i have stayed formerly in most parts. Thats quite unusual :) for Japan.
