One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was perfect and I can't think of one thing that we would have changed. The service from the staff was definitely the highlight, but the food, the room and the onsen were outstanding.
It's a short busride to Kamikochi bridge where the hiking is beautiful.

The landlady! Super friendly and helpful. She prepared us breakfast even though they don't usually do. Also gave us postcards painted by her husband.

Hidaji was a very special and unforgettable experience, 100% worth it. We felt very pampered with my husband and the food was amazing, we ate like kings! There is lots to do around for nature lovers but you can also easily just stay in and enjoy the amenities and each other. We had a lot of privacy and felt as though we were alone most of the time even though the place was fully booked.

This was our first ryokan experience and Mozumo has certainly set the standard pretty high for us. We had booked a room with a private onsen. The onsen overlooked the forest and the facilities in the room were also top notch. The food and service by the staff was excellent.

Great views and very good staff who helped us have an enjoyable stay. Onsen in room was very nice and it was close to the ropeway which was a nice activity to do while staying. Rooms were very big and spacious and meals were great. Also the place was easily accessible by bus from takayama.
