The staff was very friendly and helpful, they're available 24h/day. When my own Japanese failed they were nice to find an online translator. They offer free hygiene products, bathrobes and more.

For the price of the stay, Toyoko Inn was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful, location of the hotel was pretty good too, a station or approx 15 mins walk from the main Omiya station, and just right beside the Saitama station that will bring you back to Tokyo. Came for a concert at Saitama Super Arena, and the hotel is right in front of the arena.
Breakfast service was not a wide spread, but was delicious with good variety daily. Will definitely look for Toyoko Inn again next time I’m back in Japan.

The location was great, very close to Omiya Station with a shopping centre and trains 30 minutes to downtown Tokyo. This was also the perfect place to stay, should one wish to attend the Traditional Latin Mass at the Omiya Chapel of SSPX. There were tons of good restaurants and convenience stores around, and the room was both clean and spacious, with a kitchen and a dinning area. The ceiling lamp had a built-in projector, which could function as a TV as well.
