Best hotel in our Japan trip! Room was enormous and beautiful. The onsen was very nice and they allow tattoos, which is a great plus! You can even book one space privately. The breakfast is traditional Japanese and it is so yummy. I cannot eat fish, and they accommodated my food request (you need to inform them in advance). I 100% recommend it and I would stay here again.

Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Private Onsen usage was nice. The owner was friendly and helpful, and brought us to the monkey park.

The owner is super friendly and helpful, provided us with lots of additional information about the surrounding areas. The lovely Japanese-style room has decent size and a balcony where you can relax and have a drink. The place is very well maintained, with indoor onsen that you can enjoy anytime of the day. You can also book outdoor private onsen.

This is probably one of the best ryokan in japan! High value! The onsen is very spectacular. It will stay in my heart forever. For sure I will come back.

Ryokan staff were very friendly and helpful. Private Onsen was great. Rooms were very clean and spacious. The traditional futon beds are really good to sleep on. Really worth it!

Their services are awesome. the breakfast the array of choices is dazzling. staying in hotel housei make me feel the authentic Japanese culture, heart warm services and good food.
