I recently stayed at Swell Shacks for one night and had an amazing experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The design of the hotel is simply stunning and perfectly complements the beautiful environment. I loved waking up to the sound of the ocean and having the beach right in front of our room. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The breakfast provided was delicious and offered a variety of options. The view from the hotel is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking sights. I had such a wonderful time that I will definitely be coming back in the future. I highly recommend Swell Shacks for anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay. Special mention for Gayantha and Madushanka, always smiling, very welcoming and helpful, they definitely make our stay even better 😃 !

The property is beautifully landscaped and feels like tropical forest oasis. The main house was very warm and inviting, with a stunning pool running along the front. The bedrooms were well decorated and the bathroom felt like a spa. The beds were big and super comfortable. Highly recommend the breakfast in the morning (pancakes were unreal). While this hotel is tucked away from the main road, there is a very well run free tuk tuk service throughout the day. We’d like to especially thank Lahiru, Priyankara and Milan for looking after us. We were very comfortable for our 5 day stay.

Staff were kind, polite, friendly & helpful. Walking distance to everywhere I needed to go in Mirissa. Room was clean, spacious & comfortable. Great pool. Loved patting Simba the dog each day. Little touches such as a small Christmas tree in the room & gift of Christmas cake were appreciated. Assistance with onward travel at the end.

This is the best hostel in Sri Lanka. Beds are so comfortable and rooms while small, are very clean. I stayed in the 4-bed dorm and found it great. Amenities are great including pool, yoga and a roof top bar/restaurant. The hostel is very social but not crazy party vibes which is nice. Right near Doctors House for live music if you do want to party and a great beach for swimming too.
