This was honestly the best place I have ever stayed. I travel a lot so that's saying something. Everything was 10 out of 10. The family is truly caring, and I felt so welcome and taken care of. I actually canceled my other reservation so I could stay here and an extra few days. The food, the room, and the service were the best I received in Sri Lanka - or anywhere. Such a hidden gem.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. We got recommendations on what to do in the area and where to eat. We talked to the staff, including the hotel manager every day. The breakfast (especially the Sri Lankan breakfast) was delicious and we enjoyed the exceptional view by the pool.

First of all, in reality AURORA is much more beautiful than on the pictures! Rooms are very spacious and cozy, bathrooms on the floor amazing, balconies with the view on the green plants - just wow! AC perfectly working. Hot water with great pressure. Breakfasts were tasty, with fruits, toasts, fried eggs, fresh juice. Swimming pool - really nice. And of course AURORA Team - so nice, helpful and always smiling :) Our little son Theo loved them so much!

We loved the styling and design of this place, it is unique and it is special to swim in the pool and see the monkeys and squirrels jumping from one tree to another 😊 The owner created this amazing place himself! It has a nice swimming pool, the rooms and bed are comfortable, the shower is warm, and the people are very kind. It is a good place if you want to be in a quiet place to relax and read a book.
