The hotel is good and located in an excellent part of the city, surrounded by office buildings, a shopping mall, other hotels, and great restaurants. The breakfast was fine, the staff was friendly, and the beds were comfortable. It’s definitely great value for money, especially since it’s quite an affordable hotel. The only downside is the distance from the city center. With the heavy traffic, it took us a long time to get to the center and the airport. So, keep this in mind if you’re on a tight schedule.

Centrally located in Ortigas Commerical District, 1.8 km from Shangri-La Plaza and 1.3 km from SM Megamall, Holiday Inn Manila Galleria features direct access to Robinsons Galleria Mall.

The location is great. The service is good. The room is spacious and well-design. Breakfast is also good with a variety of choices. If I were to be back in Ortigas, I would choose this place again.

I will start with the best part… the STAFF. They are very friendly and attentive. I was very satisfied with the service, from the people at the door, the front desk to the crew at the lounge bar and the dining room. They would go out of their way to make sure you have what you need. It is a brand new hotel so as expected everything is sparkling and shiny. It does not have the grand feel of other hotels like the Shangri-La with its massive chandeliers but Westin Manila suits me better. It has a classy and simple elegance about it. I love the overall organic look and feel of the interior, it reminds me of Scandinavian hotels. I also love the art pieces in the lobby. That BenCab painting and the glass piano sculpture did not go unnoticed. It’s a good place to stay at if you’re on a business trip around the Ortigas area. We were on a leisure trip and meeting friends around there and also in Quezon City. So it was convenient and we didn’t have to sit long in traffic. If you’re deciding whether to get the breakfast with your booking, take it! They have a good and delicious selection of Filipino and western food. The shopping malls Edsa Shangri-La, SM Megamall, and The Podium (all walking distance from the hotel) have a variety of dining options but they only open from 10am.

A 45-minute drive from Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Discovery Suites is within walking distance from The Podium Shopping Mall, SM Megamall and Shangri-la Plaza.
