Had a fantastic stay at Palacio das Especiarias! All staff were very very friendly and willing to help. Breakfast was amazing with live piano music, great food. Sauna and pool included, also wine and cheese tasting! The interior of the hotel was the most amazing though, so many nice decorations, and well planned details in all room. Probably the best hotel we have ever visited!

Amazing place! Polite friendly staff! Great view from the 4th floor balcony! Atmosphere, style, cleanliness - all excellent. Spacious shower with everything you need - gels/shampoos/soap/lotion, there is a hairdryer and plenty of towels. Soft bed with airy duvet/pillows and linens that are pleasant to the body. Had breakfast - amazing. Excellent choice, especially sweet - like in a candy store. Live music - the pianist is just a delight.

We have stayed in this hotel 3 times already, the staff is very friendly and helpful, its also beautiful. The quality of the bed and pillows is excellent too, as well as the breakfast. Its a real "boutique" hotel experience, and not just marketing. Looking forward to staying there a 4th time :)

Large, comfortable, clean rooms in a great, central location. Pretty quiet, though that could be due to the time of year (February, not high season). The value for the price was great!
