The owner of the house was extremely welcoming and heartfelt. The house itself was beautiful and very lovely, great view of the castle and the land, but also we were lucky to learn that there was a wonderful family history behind it. He explained to me about the region well so it made it very easy to get around. The house was immaculate and arranged very thoughtfully. We cooked at the kitchen one night and it felt at home. Because they had equipped some oil and salt and pepper, we didn't have to buy in inconvenient sizes and it was very easy to cook a simple meal. Stay in Ovidos was an unforgettable experience and one of the best parts of our trip to Portugal. Thank you very much!

Don't go to Óbidos for the day! You will be with the mobs of bus tourists. Staying within the walled city was magic: the crowds are gone by 7pm. We enjoyed an excellent dinner, and when we walked around the city in the morning, we saw ONE other person. Ricardo told us that only 40 people live inside the walled city. His guest house only has 8 rooms, and he says it's one of the biggest. Comfy, nice bed, great shower. Ana helped me print and scan an important document.

The room was really spacious and the staff super kind! Amazing breakfast and beautiful and authentic building in the centre. You can park your car on a big parking 5 minutes walk from the hotel. We decided to stay one more night. We (and our 2 years old son) loved it!
