Stayed here twice during a longer solo trip and The Sparrow quickly became one of the few places I felt I could actually relax. The hotel is recently renovated — very clean, fresh, and well thought through. Rooms are simple, modern, and have a quiet sense of place that reflects Idaho without trying too hard. Location is excellent: close to downtown, the Greenbelt, food spots, but still calm. Free on-site parking is a plus, though it can fill up at peak times. There’s no full breakfast, but the café in the lobby has coffee and light bites and the food truck parked just outside offers great casual options. What stood out most was the reception team — calm, grounded, helpful and quietly observant in a way that’s hard to fake. There’s a kind of stillness in this place and they’re a big reason for it.

Very good value for money, the best value for money motel I have stayed in. Everything was perfect and will always try to stay in Oxford suites when I can.

Set in the heart of central Boise, Idaho and within walking distance of attractions, including the Boise Zoo, this hotel offers a free daily hot breakfast and in-room mini-refrigerators.

Very family friendly, helpful staff and convenient location for the Treefort Music Fest. Appreciated the free breakfast and the comfortable lobby with fireplace, TV’s, and coffee.

Located in the Linen District of downtown Boise, the Modern Hotel features a modern bar. The Modern Hotel hosts their own independent film festival on all guest TVs.

The location was great, the check-in staff were super friendly. The room was spacious, clean and contained everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast wasn’t amazing if you are vegan but the plates were real plates and the cutlery wasn’t plastic. The orange juice was great and there were lots of bananas and apples available. The breakfast staff were also very friendly.
