location was good - buildings and room were tastefully decorated with antique furniture- v spacious room. food was acceptable and v good value. pool cold but good size - massage available-more relaxing than sport massage. ostrich tour interesting and worthwhile

This stay was absolutely wonderful! The place was extremely clean and fully equipped with everything I could need, making it feel like home. It’s incredibly spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. The peaceful surroundings were perfect for relaxing. The host is friendly and attentive— truly a five-star experience.

Driving or walking from you lodge to the restaurant with all the wildlife is just a surreal experience. Dinner was sublime, presentation and quality felt like a star restaurant.

Wilna was so friendly and welcoming. She offered to show the kids the baby ostriches and buck.
The house was peaceful yet well located to the town centre. We enjoyed sitting on the patio with a cup of coffee and watched the most beautiful sunset.
The house was well equipped and comfortable. The little chocolates were a lovely touch along with the complimentary wood left for guests to enjoy a braai or boma.
We will definitely return again as Wilna was an incredible host.

Staying at Kliphuisie is a one-of-a-kind experience that may not be suitable for everyone. It's a chance to disconnect from the outside world and appreciate the beauty of the starry sky. Keep in mind that there is no electricity, but the hosts do provide some LED light bars, a gas stove, and a refrigerator. The rustic vibe of the place is all about connecting with the people you're with and enjoying the simple things in life. While it's not for everyone, if you're up for it, you'll have good cell reception and an unforgettable experience.

Kliphuisie is such a beautiful place inside & out.
Everything was just great! We really enjoyed our stay, and will definitely be back in the future. Our host was so friendly and accommodating through the whole process. I will highly recommend it!
Riverside Guest Lodge offers panoramic views of Grobbelaars River and Swartberg Mountains. It offers air-conditioned rooms and wooden cottages.

This was probably the best hotel we stayed in during our trip in South Africa. Everything is extraordinary. Such a pity we could not stay longer. I would go back to Oudtshoorn just to stay at the Riverside Guest Lodge.
