Value for money. It exceeded my expectations. We arrived way before check in time but were still allowed to get into our room as it was available. Place is clean. Privacy is an understatement. You don't even feel the presence of other guests. The host explained everything in detail. It felt like a home away from home.

We were blown away by this amazing property! We were not expecting the quality of service and facilities. We had a delightful time talking with Hayley and Henni who welcomed us early with coffee and a comfortable lounge area while our room was finalized. The room we booked was large and tastefully decorated with all the necessary items needed for the stay. Our room ended up having four twin beds, which we much more preferred to the three beds and pull-out couch). We enjoyed the breakfast and the swimming pool (with provided swim towels). The WiFi was strong for our needs. The grounds were simply beautiful. The bottled water was appreciated, in addition to the couch and desk. Load shedding was no problem with WiFi and small tables lights still working due to solar power. They installed bug screens on a few windows which was a lovely addition.

Downstairs @38 is situated in the Walmer district of Port Elizabeth, 3.2 km from Walmer Country Club, 4.4 km from Port Elizabeth Golf Club and 6.7 km from Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

The location of the property is very perfect in a quiet area, very neat and secure. The landlord was very welcoming. i will book the property again when I visit Port Elizabeth

The room was absolutely lovely and the breakfast was delicious, but far and away the highlight of our stay at anchorage was the hosts. We had a few very last minute changes with our trip and the staff at anchorage were all so understanding, helpful and accommodating, letting us make very last minute changes to our stay. Everyone there was also really helpful recommending all the best local places to go! Rina was especially amazing throughout our stay! Thank you very much for having us!
