We had a truly unforgettable stay at Sponbo guest house, not just because of the beautiful surroundings, but because of the incredibly kind and generous people who run it, especially Mr Norbu. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. The owner went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, especially when we struggled a bit with the high altitude. They offered advice, care, and practical help for acclimatisation, which made a huge difference in our experience. Their knowledge of the area and genuine concern for our well-being was deeply appreciated. The hospitality here is from the heart….. warm conversations, delicious food, and a real sense of being looked after. This place isn’t just a guest house; it’s a haven for travelers. Highly recommended for anyone looking for not just a place to stay, but a place to feel at home.

Excellent friendly and helpful staff who helped us out with an itinerary, permits and give us advice for the high altitude as well as generally making our stay comfortable. Great location right next to the market. Hotel is very comfortable, matches the local architecture and very warm in winter!

We stayed for 6 nights in this beautiful resort. A quiet place in a beautiful garden with astonishing views of the mountains. The room (Langmar) was spacious, clean and equipped with everything you need. It woold have been perfect if there was a safety deposit box in the room. The breakfast was good and the lunch also with very reasonable prices. The staff was outstanding and doing everything to make our stay great. Especially the staff in the restaurant. The Wifi in the room was very good. It was a great stay and we recommend this place absolutely.

Absolutely lovely place. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the owners are very kind. You get nice tasty breakfast. It’s peaceful and quiet there. Close to beautiful Shanti Stupa and a wss as walking distance to the main bazar. I will be back for sure.

    Funsukh and his family are great hosts. We were a group of 10 and had an amazing time at his property. Staff were very courteus and obliged to every request we made without a frown. Overall I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to visit and stay at Leh

    Slightly remote but good location, with sightseeing close by, and a pleasant walk to reach main bazar area. Room was really great, large, neat, everything fully functional, and quiet. And the family was extremely welcoming, helpful, available and kind. Moreover, they grow organic crops in a field nearby, a part of it being used to prepare delicious breakfast and dinner. Overall excellent value for money, and a great experience. Needless to say I strongly recommend... and book ahead in peak season.
